It takes 2.30h walk on easy and well signposted trail (E), suitable for everyone, even families with children. The path starts at the Bagni di Masino (SO), where a car park is available.

We are here to welcome you, to advise you on your itineraries and to host you if you want to stay overnight.

Please remember that we are in an alpine hut at altitude, in an isolated environment.

Our philosophy: simple, high-quality ingredients, homemade food with fresh ingredients.

We try to cook without using semi finished products to reduce waste. We try to use as much wood as possible for cooking and photovoltaic energy for our needs. We try to reduce water consumption as much as possible, however providing high hygienic level and using natural and biodegradable detergents.

We provide a healthy local cuisine, but we ask to report allergies, intolerances, diets.

The beds are arranged in shared rooms with a shared bathroom. Blankets and pillows are provided, but it is mandatory to use your own sheet and pillowcase (also purchasable at the hut).

Hot water is available, but to take a shower please ask the manager.

A hearty and genuine breakfast is included.

The hut is a strategic foothold on the Roma Trail, one of the most famous and beautiful alpine routes.

It is the only managed hut on the Walter Bonatti Trail, dedicated to the famous mountaineer.

It is a stop on the Life Trail of the Retiche Alps.

It is a base for numerous trekking through the surrounding valleys, for hiking and mountaineering ascents, for high-level climbing and mountaineering schools. The hut hosts will be able to advise you on the itineraries and propose excursions in line with your skills and mountain conditions.
